Dr. Marty Sharer accepted the position of director of bands at South
Medford High School in July of 2006. Leaving his post as assistant professor of music and director of percussion studies
at Campbellsville University (KY), Dr. Sharer moved 2,500 miles across country searching for the perfect music job, year round
golf, and left coast 'snow' skiing! Marty's wife, Ashley, also made the move from Kentucky. Ashley
previously worked full-time for the Medford School District in the human resources department. She is now a stay-at-home
mom raising the Sharer's first child, Cole!
